The 2000 American League batting champion Nomar Garciaparra has joined the long list of baseball immortals to come through the Red Sox organization. Amoung the records that Nomar already holds after just three complete seasons are the longest hitting streak for an American League rookie (30) and most RBI by a leadoff hitter (98). This bat was used by Garciparra in batting practice during the 1999 season. The Louisville Slugger, model P72, measures 32.75 inches in legnth and weighs 31 ounces. It has been cracked and repaired and shows great use with light pine tar and a nice amount of ball marks throughout the barrel. His jersey number "5" appears on both ends in marker.
