Johnny Logan was the shortstop for the Milwaukee Braves during their back to back pennant winning years 1957 and 1958. Logan was a scrappy player formed from the molds of Leo Durocher and Eddie Stankey. Logan, who stood 5'-11" and 175 pounds, took on the 6'-6", 225 pound Don Drysdale after Drysdale hit him with a pitch. This Hillerich & Bradsby, model R43, measures 34.75" and weighs 33.5 ounces and shows evidence of good game use with a handle crack which has been repaired. Johnny’s # 23 is on the knob in marker. Logan’s autograph, which rates an 8, includes the inscription " Mil Braves vs N.Y. Yankees, 1957 World Series."
