Hall of Famer Eddie Mathews clubbed 512 home runs during his 17 year major league career. This 9 time All Star could do it all. Said Ty Cobb " I've only known three or four perfect swings in my time. This lad has one of them." Mathews , Hank Aaron, and Warren Spahn were the heart of the great Milwaukee Braves teams of 1957-1958. This Hillerich & Bradsby, model S2, measures 34.75 inches and weighs 31.4 ounces, was used by Eddie to hit his 369th career home run. The bat shows exceptional game use with a taped handle crack. The tape has been partially removed. Eddie's "#41" on the knob is in fading black marker. The bat is accompanied with a letter of authenticity from Mathews, outlining the home run. Eddie's black sharpie autograph rates a strong nine and includes the notation "512 HR" and HR #369, 9/26/61."
