Hall of Famer Phil Niekro ended a 24 year major league career with 318 wins and 3,342 strikeouts. "Knucksie" also holds the dubious distinction of losing more games (274) than any other pitcher in the 20th century. Phil holds records for most wins at four specific ages: 16 at age 45, 16 at age 46, 11 at age 47 and 7 at age 48. This Louisville Slugger, model K48, measuring 34.5 inches and weighing 32 ounces, is uncracked and shows evidence of tremendous game-use. There is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. Niekro’s retired #35 is on the knob in marker. Phil’s silver pen autograph, which rates an eight, includes the notation "H.O.F. 97".
