In 1973 Dave "The Cobra" Parker stepped up to replace Roberto Clemente as right fielder of the Pittsburgh Pirates. In the 20 seasons that followed, he proved himself worthy of the task, hitting a career total of 339 homeruns while batting .290 lifetime. A seven-time All Star, Parker earned three Gold Gloves and was the 1978 National League MVP. This Adirondak, model 170X, measures 36.5 inches in legnth and weighs 36 ounces. It exhibits nice game-use and has his jersey number "39" on both ends in vintage marker. Parker has signed the bat "To Barry, Best Wishes, Dave Parker, The Cobra" in blue marker with the signature and inscription rating no less than a 9. "36" appears in blue ink on the knob and was placed there as an indication of weight.
