Vada Pinson was signed by the Cincinnati Reds right out of high school for a bonus of $4,000. After two years in the minors Pinson was able to convince Reds management that he was ready for the majors and by all estimations he was right. A two-time All Star, Pinson won a Gold Glove in 1961. This Hillerich and Bradsby, model B267, measures 34.75 inches in legnth and weighs 34.5 ounces. It shows nice game-use with heavy pine tar on the handle and has lots of bat rack and cleat marks. Pinson's jersey number "28" appears on both ends of the bat in vintage blue marker.
