This 13" x 21" framed sepia-toned team portrait of the world champion 1952 New York Yankees for many years was a favorite item in the personal memorabilia collection of one of those Bombers, first baseman Joe Collins, who played 10 seasons with the team and smacked four World Series home runs. Some of the other faces in the very good condition framed photo are of a young Mickey Mantle in the back row and the trio of Yogi Berra, Phil Rizzuto and Billy Martin side by side in the front row. Under the photo is an assemblage of photocopied player signatures and on top is an affixed label identifying the photo as being from the Joe Collins collection.
