This excellent condition, laminated, 12" x 24" team photo of the 1960 AL champion Yankees hung for many years inside the Yankee Stadium clubhouse along with photos of other Bomber winners. This photo is a great picture and part of a shrine, one piece in an 80-year mosaic of excellence. While the team tasted defeat on a Bill Mazeroski home run and saw Casey Stengel fired after 12 years as manager, future success would be charted by two men standing side by side in the middle row, Mickey Mantle and season MVP Roger Maris. Other cogs of the wheel include Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Bobby Richardson, Elston Howard, Tony Kuberk, and coach (and next manager) Ralph Houk. The photo reads "New York Yankees, 1960 American League Champions" in white calligraphy on the lower right corner and the photo is mounted in its original black frame.
