Myth or fact, Babe Ruth's "called shot" will forever be "rooted" in baseball history. It happened on October 1, 1932 in game three of the Yankees-Cubs World Series at Wrigley Field. After pitcher Charlie Root threw two strikes to him, legend has it that Ruth boldly pointed to the centerfield bleachers then put the next pitch right there. Believers and non-believers alike will appreciate this wonderful statue of the most famous at-bat in history, in which the Babe points with his left hand, his bat at his side. Bronzed in an antique style, the excellent condition 8" figure is perched on a 6" in diameter base with a plaque reading "Called Shot" by Dawn."
