This photo collage of the 1927 World Series between the NY Yankees and the Pittsburgh Pirates were snapped by the Dispatch Photo News Service. The five sepia-tone images feature a great shot of Yankee gods Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig towering over and shaking hands with a pair of Pirates, making the Bombers' 4-game sweep entirely understandable. Other photos show other glad-handings between managers Miller Huggins and Donnie Bush, owners Col. Jacob Ruppert and Barney Dreyfuss, a shot of Ruth swinging and one of a tag-out play at home plate. The photos have been well preserved and are mounted in a black frame.
