When kids across America slid on a pair of underwear from this six-pack in the 1920s, they may have felt they could hit the apple out of the park just like the Babe, whose endorsement of a brand of shorts no doubt sent sales skyrocketing. The cover of the green box has a smiling Babe inside an oversize number "9" and the words "Babe Ruth Juniors, All American Athletic Underwear, The Champion Nine." The 9-1/2" x 9-3/4" box is in relatively good condition, with some nicks and scratches and tape on the lower right corner. It comes preserved in a sturdy plastic container.
