A gaudy ring is only one of the spoils of winning a World Series. Another bauble for victorious players, managers, coaches and team executives is a scaled-down but no less impressive replica of the Championship Trophy that is hoisted into the air every October in the winning team clubhouse. These three trophies represent New York Yankee championship victories in 1996, 1998 and 1999 and display the glory and grandeur of going all the way. Each features a gold arc mounted on and rising majestically from a round black base. On the bottom of the arc is a silver baseball and atop the arc is a royal gold crown surrounded by an array of gold pillars topped by pennants representing all 30 major league teams. Embedded on the base are pins with the logos of the Yankees and their opponents in each Fall Classic, the Atlanta Braves in 1996 and 2000 and the San Diego Padres in 1999, and each trophy has a plaque reading "World Series Champions, New York Yankees" with the respective year. All of the trophies are near mint.
