Jim Heagan is known as one of the greatest defensive catchers to play the game. After ending his 17 year career with the Cubs, he began a 20 year stint as a coach beginning with the Yankees in 1960, the year Mazeroski stunned the world with a swing of the bat and winning the World Series for the Pirates over the Yankees. Hegan was awarded this beautiful championship ring made by Balfour in 14k gold. The ring, which shows the lightest of wear, is in NR-MT condition. The face of the ring has the top hat along with diamonds and other precious stones. American League Champions circles the front with 1960 on both sides of this ring, and Jim Hegan's name is engraved on the inside. The ring comes with a letter attesting to its authenticity.
