The 1942 World Series pitted the New York Yankees (who won 103 games that season) against the St. Louis Cardinals (who won 106), and the Cards of Stan Musial and Country Slaughter bested the Yanks of Joe DiMaggio and Bill Dickey in a 5-game Classic that produced this stunning Yankee Series press pin. The 3/4" diameter pin has the look of a coat of arms, with two bats crossed over a ball. It reads "N.Y. Yankees, World Series, 1942." The pin is in excellent condition with some tarnishing that adds to its classic appearance.
