With his poise, perfectionism and projection of cool, Derek Jeter seemingly was born to be a Yankee, and that theory is enhanced by this gorgeous original oil painting of the Yankees' perennial All-Star shortstop and 2000 World Series MVP by famed sports artist Cliff Spohn. It combines two images of Jeter at-bat, one of him in his stance awaiting the pitch and the other of him taking a hard cut with his black bat. Spohn has perfectly captured Jeter's characteristic batting gloves, his burning eyes and the tilt of his upper body as he swings, and the blended images are set against a green background beneath the upper-deck facade of the old Yankee Stadium and a bright blue sky. The painting is 13" x 17" and is mounted in a 17" x 20" black frame.
