Upon his retirement in 1960, Hegan became the New York Yankees' pitching coach for over a decade, lending his expertise to six straight pennant winners from 1960 to 1965. Hegan wore this classic gray Yankees road uniform in 1970. The uniform has the "Wilson" label with the size "44" on the left front tail. "Hegan 70-44" is stitched in black in the neck, denoting the year and player number. "New York" is stitched across the front and "44" across the back in navy blue felt. The uniform shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
