Winfield had a bevy of professional sports from which to choose. He was drafted by the NBA Atlanta Hawks, the ABA Utah Stars and the NFL Minnesota Vikings. Over a 22 year baseball career, Winfield amassed 3,110 hits, 465 home runs and 1,833 RBI, putting him in a class with the great modern sluggers. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2001, his first year of eligibility. In the neck of the jersey is a gray label reading "Winfield 83 1" in black chain stitch. The numbers denote the year and set number. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" label with the size "44." Across the front of the jersey is "New York" and on the back is the player number "31." Both the name and number are made of blue on white tackle twill. The autograph on the lower left front of the shirt rates and 8.
