With his ability to hit for both power and average, Easler earned his nickname "the hit man." He was a National League All-Star who was traded to the Yankees for Don Baylor. In the neck of the jersey is a gray label reading "Easler 86 1" in blue chain stitch. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" label with the size, "42." Across the front of the jersey is the name "New York" and on the back is the player number "17." Both the name and number are made of blue on white tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
