Robinson came out of nowhere in 1956 to win the Reds' left-field job. For the next ten seasons, he was their undisputed leader. In 1961, Robinson led the Reds to their first pennant since 1940 with his first MVP season. In the neck of the shirt is the "Wilson" label and size "42." On the left front tail is a black patch reading "20 82" in orange chain stitch. The numbers denote the player number and year, respectively. Across the front of the shirt is the name "Giants" in script-style letters and on the back is a black nameplate with the name "Robinson." The player number "20" appears on both the front and back of the shirt. The letters and numbers are made of orange on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the San Francisco Giants 25th anniversary patch and on the back number "2" is Robinson's autograph which rates an 8. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
