The 2001 season hurtled Barry Bonds into the class of a baseball god. He cleared the 500 mark in homers early in the season to put him on a pace to smash Mark McGwire's record of 70 homers in 1998. He was also closing in on 500 steals which would make him the only player to reach the 500-500 Club. For Bonds, who may surpass even Willie Mays as the greatest (if not most beloved) Giant ever, the milestones began falling like fly balls in the mid-1990s. His assault on the record books has put a premium on Bonds items, and this well-worn, jet black helmet is a gem. It has the orange "SF" logo on the front and the name "Bonds" attached in white block letters on the back over the MLB logo. On the underside is a size 7-1/4 sticker and MLB "Diamond Collection" sticker.
