The man who replaced Pete Rose as Cincinnati's third baseman in 1979 later would become the first World Series MVP to join a new team the next season. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Goodman" label which includes the size, "42." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Astros" in blue on white tackle twill and on the back is a white nameplate with the name "Knight" in blue tackle twill. On the left breast is the Astros "Star" and on the back is the player number "22." Both the star and the number are made of blue on white tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
