Every baseball fan remembers where they were when Hank Aaron hit number 715 into the Braves bullpen on April 8th, 1974 to break Babe Ruth's record. Darrell Evans does too. He was a member of the Braves from 1969-76. In Evans' letter of authenticity, Evan writes that he wore the jersey when Aaron broke the record, batted third in the lineup and he was on first base when Aaron his #715. Evans was also the first teammate to greet Aaron at the plate following the home run. This is a game-worn jersey from the game when Aaron hit number 715 and just under the "Braves" writing on the jersey Evans signed, "Best Wishes, Darrell Evans #11 1974." The jersey was made by Wilson Athletics and is a size 44. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
