Lee Smith was an overpowering closer, earning 478 saves to be the career leader. This red mesh warmup jersey was worn by Smith during the early 1990s. In the neck of the jersey is the "Majestic" manufacturer's tag with the size tag "50." On the left front tail is another "Majestic" manufacturer's tag. The Cardinals embroidered logo patch appears on the left breast in silver with a black outline. Smith signed the jersey on the front with a black Sharpie autograph that rates a 9. Across the back of the jersey is a red mesh nameplate with the player name "L. Smith" and below it is the player number "47." All the letters and numbers are made of white on black tackle twill. The white pinstriped pants were worn by Smith in 1987 during his time with the Cubs. In the waistband is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with the size "34." To its right is a white tackle twill patch with "46 87 1 35-36 30" embroidered in lavender, denoting player number, year, set number, length, waist size, and inseam, respectively. The jersey and pants show game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
