After a decade of stardom with Montreal, Dawson reached new heights with the Cubs. A free-swinging righthanded batter, Dawson was a complete player with the Expos, outstanding at bat, in the field and on the bases. Dawson remained a feared hitter even at the end of his Cub tenure in 1992. In the neck the jersey is the "Majestic" label. On the left breast is the Cubs red/white/blue embroidered logo emblem and on the back is the player number "8" in white tackle twill. Inside the waistband of the pants is the "Rawlings" label which includes the size, "32." Next to this is a white label reading "8 89 4 32 26" which has been done in blue Swiss embroidered stitch. The numbers denote the player number, year, wash code, waist size and inseam, respectively. The jersey and pants show wear and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
