When great second baseman are talked about, one of the first names mentioned is the great Ryne Sandberg. In 15 Major League seasons, Sandberg won seven straight Gold Gloves between 1983-1989. He won NL MVP in only his third full season in 1984 and has smacked 282 home runs during his career. This is a game-worn cap with his signature on the inside bill, rating a 9, and the #23 just above that. Manufactured by New Era Caps, the cap is size 7-1/4. The jersey is a blue Cubs road jersey, worn by Sandberg during the 1985 season in which he his .305 belted 26 home runs and had 83 RBI's. This is a blue jersey with the Cubs logo on the front left side of the jersey. The left sleeve has a logo of a baby Cub and the bottom left has #85 sewn in indicating the year of the jersey. The back has his famous #23 with Sandberg sewn above that all in red stitching with white trim. Both items come with an additional letter of authenticity.
