"One Dog" Johnson was one of the more aggressive hitters in the majors. The lefty was a premier base-stealer and his speed was a main asset on defense. In the neck of the 1998 home jersey is a white label reading "1-42-98-1" denoting the player number, size, year and set number. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic" label and size "42" and below is the "Tapered Body" label. On the left breast is the Cubs red/white/blue logo emblem. On the back of the jersey is the name "Johnson" and below is the player number "1." The letters and numbers are made of blue on red tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the "Hey Hey" patch commemorating the death of Jack Brickhouse and on the right sleeve is a "Face" patch commemorating the death of Harry Caray. On the left front tail of the pre-game mesh jersey is the "Majestic" label above the size tag, "L." On the left breast is the Cubs red/white/blue emblem. On the back of the jersey is the name "Johnson" and below is the player number "1." The letters and numbers are made of red on white tackle twill. On the right sleeve is a patch reading "Since 1876 National League of Professional Baseball Clubs". Both jerseys show game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
