Don Thompon joined the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1951 after a year with the Boston Braves. He was a reliable backup outfielder who made only 3 errors in a 4-year career. This royal blue Dodgers jacket worn by Thompson ignites memories of when just the sight of that scripted "Dodgers" stitched in white tackle twill across the front of the jacket made spines tingle at Ebbets Field. The zip-front, nylon-exterior jacket has the Skinner Tackle Twill label and size label "42" in the inner neck. The interior is made of grey wool. There is white trim at the neck, waist and sleeve ends and Thompson's number "29" is stitched on the lower left sleeve.
