Alston carved out a Hall of Fame career as a manager of the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers. He was honored as "Manager of the Year" six times by the Associated Press and five times by United Press International. On the left front tail is the "Rawlings" label and size "46." Below this is "Alston 65" in blue chain stitch. On the inside left front tail is the wash tag and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1965." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Los Angeles" in script-style letters made of blue felt. The player number "24" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. The numbers on the front are made of red felt and the numbers on the back are made of blue felt. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
