Hideki Irabu came to the New York Yankees as the "Nolan Ryan of Japan." Armed with a 97 mph fastball and a wicked splitter, Irabu had flashes of brilliance in pinstripes, going 13-9 in 1997 and 11-7 in 1998. Irabu, who is among the new wave of Japanese players into the big leagues, signed this game-used black Rawlings glove in silver marker with his name and number "14," with the signature rates an 8. The thumb of the glove also has "14. H. Irabu" in gold stitching.
