The most indelible image in New York Mets history is that of Jesse Orosco striking out the Boston Red Sox' Marty Barrett to nail down the Mets' miracle comeback victory in the 1986 World Series, then flinging his glove into the heavens as his teammates mobbed him in joy. While we don't know if that mitt ever did come back down, this glove also worn by Orosco during the Series is a vivid reminder of the Amazin's heroics and never-say-die spirit that sparked it that season. The Rawlings Pro-BP Fastback model glove has "Cat Orosco" handwritten on it in green marker and comes with a letter of authenticity from original Met Ed Kranepool, to whom Orosco gave the glove, and an additional certificate of authenticity.
