Joe Carter became a big league star in 1987 when he reached the 30-30 mark in homers and stolen bases with the Indians. He was the key man in a blockbuster 5-player deal in 1990 that sent him to the Padres, and that season he rang up 24 dingers and 114 RBIs before being involved in yet another blockbuster trade that landed him in Toronto, where in 1993, he won the World Series for the Blue Jays with a dramatic 9th inning game 7 home run against the Phillies. He signed the jersey on the back in black marker, the signature rating a 7. On the left inside tail is the "Rawlings" label and size "46." Next to this is the "2 inch extra length" tag and flag tag reading "Set 2 1990." On the left breast is the Padres logo and on the back is "Carter" and number "17". The letters, numbers and logo are made of brown on orange tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
