The untimely passing of Willie Stargell last April took from the game not only one of the greatest sluggers of all time but also one of its most beloved figures. From 1962-82, the Hall of Famer notched 1,540 RBIs and a .282 average to go along with his 475 home runs, which included some tape-measure shots that are still in space somewhere. Warm memories of Stargell's achievements and his humanity are evoked by this swashbuckling Pirate warm-up jacket he wore circa 1980. The jet black snap-front jacket has the "Starter" label with the size XL in the neck and the team's logo of a pirate wearing a skull-and-bones hat stitched on the left breast in black, white and gold. The jacket shows wear and there are no alterations of any kind. Stargell's jersey number "8" appears on the inside in black marker.
