Because of his seemingly boundless enthusiasm, Pete Rose was nicknamed "Charlie Hustle" by Whitey Ford. He is the career leader in hits (4,256), singles (3,215), at-bats (14,053) and games played (3,562.) He is the only player to play 500 games at five different positions and was named the Player of the Decade for the 1970's by TSN. On the inside left tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label with the size "44" and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1988." On the left breast is the Reds' logo and on the back is the name "Rose." The player number "14" appears on both the right breast and on the back of the shirt. The logo, letters and numbers are made of white/red tackle twill. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
