Pete Rose lived a double baseball life, one great, one suspect. As a result of the latter, he pays the price today, banned from baseball for life because he allegedly gambled on Reds' games when he managed the team in the mid to late 1980s, when Rose wore this brilliant Reds warm-up jacket in 1988. The following season, in 1989, Rose would sign the agreement that booted him from the game and kept him from his rightful place in the Hall of Fame. Rose signed the jacket with his signature and his favorite words, "Hit King, #4256" in black marker. The signature is as bold as the signer, rating a solid 9. The size XL, zipper-front Starter jacket has "Cincinnati" across the front in white and "Rose" border-stitched across the back. The left sleeve has a patch from the All-Star Game that year. The jacket comes with a certificate of authenticity.
