At 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds, Joe Morgan could out-hit monsters who could put him in their pockets. Morgan played 22 seasons and was the best second basemen in the game, earning 2 MVPs and five Gold Gloves and hitting a career .271 with 689 stolen bases, 268 homers and 1,133 RBIs. At age 41, he closed out his Hall of Fame career playing one season in Oakland. Morgan signed this game-used A's gold and kelly green home knit jersey from that final season in black marker on the upper right front, with the signature rating a good 8. On the inside right tail is the "Rawlings" label with size "40" and the flag tag reading "set 1 1984." Across the front is the name "Oakland" in green on white tackle twill and on the back is "Morgan" in green tackle twill. On the back is the number "8" in green on white tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
