Randolph's consistency on offense earned the respect of teammates and opponents alike. During 1980, when the Yankees won 103 games, Randolph led the AL in walks with 119, the most by a Yankee since Mickey Mantle's 122 in 1962. On the inside left front tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label with the size, "42." Below this is a gray patch reading "2 90" which has been done in green Swiss embroidered stitch. The numbers denote the set number and year, respectively. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Oakland" in script style letters made of green on gold tackle twill and on the back is a gray nameplate with the name "Randolph" in green tackle twill. The player number "30" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. The numbers are made of green on gold tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
