Mark McGwire came off leg and back injuries in 1996 to crack 53 shots over the wall, driving in 113 runs and hitting .312 for the Oakland A's. This Athletics home knit jersey was worn by McGwire during the ‘96 season. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "52" and below is the year tag "1996." Next to this is the "2" Extra Body Length" label. Across the front is the name "Athletics" in script-style letter and on the back is a white nameplate with the name "McGwire." The player number "25" appears on both the left breast and on the back. All the letters and numbers are made of green on gold tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
