The jersey and pants offered here were worn by Gaylord Perry during the first five innings of his 300th win on May 6, 1982. On the left front tail of the white home knit jersey is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with the size "46" and to its right is a flag tag reading "Set 1 1982." The team name "Mariners" appears on the front of the jersey and the player number "36" appears on the front and back of the jersey. The letters and numbers are made of blue tackle twill on a yellow and blue tackle twill backing. Sewn onto the back of the jersey is a white nameplate with the player name "Perry" in blue tackle twill. Perry signed the jersey on the front with a blue Sharpie autograph that rates a 9 and reads "To Barry 5-6-82 Worn first 5 inn vs Yankees Your Pal Gaylord Perry #300." In the waistband of the pants is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's tag with the size "38" and to its right is a white tackle twill patch with blue embroida
ry reading "36 82 39 27," denoting player number, year, waist size, and length, respectively. To the right of the patch is a flag tag reading "Set 1 1982." Perry signed the pants in the waistband with a blue Sharpie autograph that rates an 8 and reads "5-6-82 #300 Gaylord Perry." The final item is a T-shirt commemorating Perry's 300th win that Perry has signed on the front with a blue Sharpie autograph that rates an 8. The jersey, pants, and T-shirt were from the Barry Halper Collection. The jersey and pants show game use and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
