Starting off his career at age 19 in 1991, Ivan Rodriguez soon became the best all-around catcher since Johnny Bench. "Pudge" has racked up a .300 career average while winning eight straight Gold Gloves and in 1998 he won the AL MVP award. Rodriguez made his bones with his defensive skills -- his arm is so strong that few runners dare try to steal against him -- and in the mid-1990s his bat bloomed as well. In 1995 he hit .302, sparking a run of six straight .300-plus seasons. This cherry-red Rangers batting helmet worn by Rodriguez is signed to the left of the "T" logo "Ivan Rodriguez, #7" in black marker, with the signature rating a 7. The size 7-1/2 helmet has a "7" affixed on the back and an MLB "Diamond Collection sticker on the inside.
