One of the great all-around second basemen of all time, Hall of Famer Bobby Doerr was a Fenway Park fixture for 12 seasons, garnering a .270 career average, 223 home runs and 1,247 RBIs. After missing a year to WWII, Doerr was a vital cog in the 1946 Red Sox pennant win, hitting .271 with 18 homers and 116 RBIs, and hit .406 in the World Series against the Cardinals. Doerr wore this classic Red Sox jacket during his career which ended in 1951. The snap-front navy blue jacket with red, white and blue trimming has the logo of two red socks sewn into the left breast, and in the neck on the gray and red interior is a label on which he hand-wrote "Doerr" in block letters in blue ink. The jacket comes with a letter of authencity from Doerr, who owned it for a half-century.
