An excellent hitting pitcher (.245), Sain averaged .346 in 1947 and .353 in 1954. He led the National League with 16 sacrifice hits in 1948 and coached five Major League teams that won pennants. In the neck of the jersey is a blue label with the name "Sain" in blue chain stitch. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" label and size, "46." Below this is a blue label reading "72 Set 1" in blue chain stitch. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Chicago" in script style letters made of light red on white tackle twill. Below this is the name "White sox" in white embroidered stitch. The player number "33" appears on the back of the jersey as well as on the left sleeve. The numbers are made of light red on white tackle twill. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
