No one who ever sat in the old Comiskey Park bullpen during an early spring or autumn night game when the Hawk was blowing off Lake Michigan would call baseball The Summer Game. Judging by this White Sox bullpen coat from the early 1990s, it takes a lot more than socks to keep warm out there, as the material is heavy enough to suit a Chicago Bear, or a polar bear. The long black nylon Gore-Tex coat has a zippered front and a white hood, with a "Sox" logo on the left chest and "Chicago" across the back, both in white on silver stitching. There is an "Apex One" label in the neck and a size-XL tag of the well-worn coat.
