Sierra was a dangerous American League hitter for 15 years for Texas and Oakland. He had several All-Star years. This lot consists of two game-worn jerseys from 1998, one White Sox white pinstriped home knit and the other a grey road knit, and a pair of batting gloves worn that season. On the left front tail of each jersey is the "Russell Athletic" label, and size "46" and below this is the "-1 Body Length" label. Under this is a white label reading "44-46-98" denoting the player number, size and year. On the left breast of the home jersey is the "Sox" logo and on the back is the name "Sierra." The player number "44" appears on both the right breast and on the back of the shirt. The logo, letters and numbers are of black on silver tackle twill. On the left sleeve is a "Comiskey Park" patch. On the road jersey, "Chicago" is across the front in script style letters and "44" is under it. The letters and numbers are made of black on white tackle twill. Both jerseys show game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind. The Mizuno batting gloves are black leather with blue and white nylon and have velcro straps on which is "Sierra 25" in silver.
