It's difficult to imagine a better symbol of the Golden Age of baseball than this ball signed not only by the game's reigning gods, Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, but also by fellow HOF immortals Dizzy Dean and Lefty Gomez as well as longtime Tiger pitcher Schoolboy Rowe. A bonus on the ball, which is stamped "Youth's Lively," is the signature of sportswriting great Grantland Rice, through whose prose great feats were reported to the public. All signatures are in blue ink, with Ruth and Gehrig rating 6s, the others 7s. The ball itself has negligible areas of wear and soiling.
