Offered here are three items from a spring training autograph hound that bring to mind the memorable 2000 World Series. The first item is an official 2000 Subway Series Selig ball that has been signed by Mike Piazza and Roger Clemens, with each signature under the logo of the player's team. This is one of only a few such balls in existence. The gentleman who got the ball signed first got Piazza in Port St. Lucie, then traveled to Tampa for Clemens. Clemens refused to sign the ball on two different occasions because Piazza had signed it and he wanted to avoid the controversy. He finally conceded and completed the wonderful display piece. Included are a white jersey #1 done with a blue Sharpie Piazza signature and a black chest protector signed by Piazza with a silver paint pen. The signatures in this lot are of high quality, each grading nine or ten.
