Mark McGwire had two major league careers, the first in Oakland where he put in 11 seasons. He became a force in his first full Cardinals campaign when he slammed 49 homers and notched 118 RBIs in ‘87. McGwire's classic windmill swing accounted for 30 or more homers eight times in the Bay Area, including three seasons of 40 or more and 52 in 1996, his last full season in a green and gold A's uniform before being traded to the Cardinals. This OAL Brown ball was signed by McGwire during his A's days. The signature is in blue pen on the sweet spot, rating an 8. There is some light staining on the horsehide but the overall condition of the ball is excellent.
