The 1953 Brooklyn Dodgers cruised to their second straight NL flag, winning 105 games to finish a whopping 13 games ahead of the pack. This lightly lacquered ONL Giles ball contains the signatures of 25 members of the best Bums' pennant-winners in the decade, and abounds with legendary names. On the sweet spot are not only the signatures of Jackie Robinson and manager Chuck Dressen but also the rare signature of owner Walter O'Malley, whose name would later become cursed in Brooklyn. Other signatures include Duke Snider, Pee Wee Reese, Gil Hodges, Carl Erskine, Carl Furillo, Preacher Roe, Joe Black, etc. Signatures are in blue ink and rate from 5-7 (Robinson, Snider and Reese are 5s, O'Malley 6).
