Franklin Delano Roosevelt was a man of far-reaching vision and endless determination, and those qualities which got America through a Great Depression and a World War can be seen in FDR's steely, burning eyes in this 14" x 18" photograph from the early days of his "New Deal" administration. It is one of the finest known Presidential portraits of our 32nd President, whom generations of Americans have grown up inspired by. We all can recite examples of FDR's brilliant oratory such as "We have nothing to fear but fear itself" and his declaration of war against Japan hours after the December 7, 1941 "day of infamy." His words still ring with honor and pride today, when we are again being tested by foreign foes who will be taught the same hard lessons. That is why FDR's memory is so vital, and why this portrait is so outstanding. It has been signed by Roosevelt in the white margin area underneath in gold fountain pen with a signature that rates a near 10. The image of FDR has a red, white and blue striped border and is mounted in a 20" x 25" brown wood frame. Just under the photo are the words "The White House" on the left side and "December 1933" on the right. This wonderful piece of American history is innear-mint to mint condition.
