In 1961, Bob Dylan sang "The times they are a-changing," and it was evident that year in baseball and politics. In Washington, a young President took the oath of office and in New York a young slugger challenged Babe Ruth's home run record. This handsome display combines those winds of change with a crystal clear color photo of John F. Kennedy greeting Roger Maris at the White House. There is also a color photo of JFK signing baseballs for a couple of Senators and manager Ted Williams before the opening game of the season, and three wire service shots of the President throwing out the first ball and enjoying the game with VP Lyndon Johnson. Included in the display is a pair of 3/4" vintage early 1960s cuff links with the presidential seal. All items are in excellent condition and mounted under glass in a 16" x 32" frame.
