"Saturday Night Live" debuted in October 1975 and brought about a new hip sensibility within pop culture with its dead-on satirical skits performed by the immensely gifted "Not Ready For Prime Time Players," including Chevy Chase, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, and Gilda Radner. This three-page NBC contract amendment is dated October 13, 1979, the final season that the original cast did the show, and is a fascinating bit of SNL minutiae, showing that Gilda was paid $7,000 per program and $1,840 per rerun. Radner, who tragically died of cancer in 1989, signed in red ink. The signature rates a near perfect 10.
